Samis Bar

One of the oldest gay bars in Athens, sitting in Metaxourgeio, a 10-15 minute cab ride from the Gazi scene, which makes it a deliberate choice rather than a default. The no-attitude atmosphere and a beer garden that fills up in summer draw a notably international and mixed crowd. Weekend DJ sets and a regular happy hour give it more structure than its dive-bar bones suggest.
