BBB - Bristol Bear Bar
Bristol's dedicated bear bar, sitting on West Street in BS2, drawing a predominantly bear and cub crowd from across the city and beyond.
Bristol's gay scene mirrors the city itself: independent, creative, slightly scruffy at the edges, and unbothered by what London is doing. Most of the action sits in Old Market, Bristol's compact and long-standing gay quarter, where a handful of pubs, bars and the occasional late venue cluster within a few walkable streets. It is more pint-and-conversation than circuit and stage, with a strong bear and alternative contingent shaping the tone. Bristol Pride in July remains one of England's better regional Prides, ending with a sprawling festival on The Downs.
Gay Places is building a better guide to gay life around the world, bringing together venues, events, and local context to make it easier to find, understand, and step into.
