1987 Bar
A gay bar on the Alameda de Hércules, Seville's main strip for nightlife, drawing a predominantly male crowd that skews local.
Seville's gay life unfolds slowly, in keeping with the rest of the city. The scene centres on the Alameda de Hércules, a long bohemian plaza lined with cafés, bars and terraces where queer crowds mix freely with the city's alternative set. There is no defined gay village here, just a handful of bars and one well-known club, all woven into a neighbourhood that prefers conversation on a warm night to anything more frenetic. Andalusia Pride takes place each June, drawing the region's LGBTQ community for a weekend of marches and open-air parties.
Gay Places is building a better guide to gay life around the world, bringing together venues, events, and local context to make it easier to find, understand, and step into.
