Tucked away underneath one of Denmark's oldest cinemas, Den Anden Side (The Other Side) is less about polished interiors and more about the visceral experience of a proper club. It’s a deliberate departure from the city's more mainstream gay venues, cultivating a reputation for serious electronic music. The space itself is minimalist with exposed concrete and strategic lighting creating an atmosphere that feels both underground and expansive, comprising of a large dancefloor, a smaller separate dancefloor called Den Anden Ende, chill out areas and a large smoking/lounge room, and a dark room. Nights vary based on the programme, with GAG for example being one of the events with more gay men attending. It’s a destination for those seeking a deeper dive into Copenhagen's queer nightlife.
