Kíkí Queer Bar

The only dedicated queer bar in Iceland, which means it carries the entire country's weight on a Thursday-to-Saturday schedule. Drag shows run regularly, with multiple queens on the same night not unusual, and the crowd skews mixed in age, gender, and origin. The rainbow-painted building on Laugavegur is not subtle, which is presumably the point. Space is small and fills fast on show nights, so arriving early is practical rather than optional.
